Rebecca is the only daughter of an Orthodox Sephardic family. Unhappy with the strict life, her rebellion grows. When faced with an arranged marriage to an older widower, Rebecca decides to run away with a young man heading to his kibbutz in the desert.
Adapted from a short story by acclaimed author Savyon Liebrecht, Apples From the Desert was nominated for three Ophirs (Israeli Oscars), and won the Audience Award at the Haifa Film Festival.
