Nachman lives in Bnei Brak, the northeastern suburb of Tel Aviv populated largely by ultra-Orthodox Jews. He works nights as an driver for needy Orthodox Jews, bringing them to Bnei Brak’s well-off residents. But he does more than drive, coaching his passengers in telling heart-rending stories to loosen the purse strings of the rich. In the mornings, he returns home to his small apartment and his 9-year-old daughter Chani. As his double life takes over, Nachman is forced to take Chani with him on his nighttime journeys, with unexpected consequences.
