The At Home Mobile App

Once you’ve purchased or rented a film you can also watch them on your handheld device or cast them to your TV via the Classic, Lido, Cameo or Ritz At Home Apps.

Please read our System Requirements before using the app.

A Chromecast or Apple TV device for your TV is required. The Google Play App requires Android 6.0 or later. The Apple App requires iOS11 or later.

Note: The app can only be used to watch films – not purchase/rent them. Purchasing must take place on a supported web browser before using the app to watch or cast films. Any films purchased online will be automatically added to your account in the app.

Download the Ritz at Home App – Apple App Store or Google Play Store

Download the Classic at Home App – Apple App Store or Google Play Store

Download the Cameo at Home App – Apple App Store or Google Play Store

Download the Lido at Home App – Apple App Store or Google Play Store

Films can be downloaded securely to your device via the app for viewing offline. Time limits and expiry dates still apply. Note you do not need to download a film to cast it to your TV screen, and for best performance we recommend you stream and cast it via your internet connection instead.

System Requirements

Your home setup must meet our System Requirements:

Computer or laptop with a supported browser Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Opera. Mac OSX 10.7 or later: Safari We recommend using the latest version of your browser. Internet Explorer and earlier versions of Safari may require you to install Flash or Widevine plugins.

Handheld device Download the app from Google Play (details above) – requires Android 6.0 or later. Download the app from the Apple Store (details above) – requires iOS11 or later.

Television For the best viewing, we recommend an HDMI cable from your computer or laptop to your TV. Casting may be available from the app or Google Chrome browser, provided your TV is Chromecast-enabled or you have a Chromecast or Apple TV device. Your TV will need to be connected to the same WiFi network as your laptop, phone or tablet. Please check your TV and device specifications.

Screen devices and browsers will register automatically as you use them. You may have up to three registered on your account but may only stream from one at a time. Devices can be removed in the My Devices section of your account. We strongly recommend you take time to get set up before you settle in for your first film.

Why does video playback stall or not play smoothly?

If your internet connection is poor or inconsistent you may experience problems during playback.

Can I watch films on my TV by screen mirroring, screensharing or direct streaming via a Smart TV’s in-built web browser?

These methods are not supported due to copy protection. Our streaming platform has only been authorised to cast via Chromecast and Apple TV devices to a TV, and to an HDMI-connected monitor or TV, for the benefit of our filmmakers and rights holders. Casting via Chromecast for Mac laptop/iMac users is not supported.

Will this be available outside Australia?

No. At Home is only available to Australian audiences. Some titles are also available for New Zealand customers.

Do your films have subtitles?

Most foreign language films will display English subtitles automatically. A small number of films will need English subtitles turned on manually. If subtitles or closed captions don’t appear, once you’ve started the film, either on your computer or the app (if watching directly on your handheld device), click the CC button in the bottom right-hand corner and select from the available option/s.

What is the difference between buying and renting a movie on the At Home platform?

Renting – when you rent a film, you have 14 days to watch it on the At Home platform. Once you press play on the film, your download will expire within 48 hours, so make sure you only press play once you are ready to watch the film. The film can be viewed as many times as you like in that 48 hour period.

Buying – when you purchase a film on the At Home platform the film is yours to watch as many times as you like on the At Home platform. The film will sit in the My library section of our website, which you can access in the top left corner of the webpage.
